My farewell to Northlands
Saying good bye is never easy. It's with a very sad and at the same time a very excited heart that I stand here in front of you today. We've got so many challenges coming our way now.
When I look back at my 4 years at Northlands, I can truly say that I have grown tremendously as a teacher.
Thank you for the opportunities given to me. Thank you for trusting and using my inputs. I feel appreciated and valued as a teacher.
Before I came to Northlands I taught Grade 7 learners for 6 years. It was a huge challenge to come down and teach Grade 4 learners for the first time. Today, when I look back, I couldn't have asked for anything better. I absolutely loved and enjoyed every minute with them in my classroom.
You are all very special and amazing. You stand together as a staff, no matter what! I have truly made wonderful friends at Northlands. Thank you for all your warm smiles, support and your encouraging words. I just can't emphasize enough how much this has meant to me.
I leave Northlands with so many good memories and I have to thank all of you for that!!

THE LONG WALK TO FREEDOM!
17 Oktober 2008!
